Imajean Lowry, a 70-year-old grandmother in Tennessee, tried to hire someone to kill her husband. Lowry is now behind bars after trying to make arrangements for a hit right on her front porch. “She was attempting to put feelers into the community to hire a hit man to kill her husband, said Helm. Of course, it wasn’t really a hit man she was dealing with. “Our undercover agent met with her on her front porch she told him she would give him 5000 dollars if he killed her husband and the reason she wanted him killed was because she was desperate for money and she was the beneficiary of his life insurance policy,” said Helm. The payout from the policy would have been $65000. “I think she had such a clear motivating factor of wanting that money being desperate money even gave her the opportunity to call it off to not do it and she insisted she wanted to have this done,” said Helm.
